Modern Society is increasingly becoming more connected and the technology that is enabling this to happen is operating in a complex and hostile electromagnetic environment. As such knowledge and practical experience in EMC design, mitigation and testing is increasingly in demand.
Developing technology such as 5G and autonomous vehicles present exciting possibilities but also provide challenges to those in the field due to the dynamic nature of the electromagnetic environment that the technology operates in.
For the uninitiated EMC is black magic but those in the industry know it is application of common sense principles based on established electromagnetic theory and implementation of good design which factors in the electromagnetic environment that the environment that the equipment will coexist in.
The world of EMC is such a diverse discipline and encompasses medical research, radiation hazards to personnel, fuel and ordinance, signal, integrity, product and system design, standards,
We cover DC to Daylight and everything in between. You don’t have to be an expert or devotee of EMC to gain some useful insight that will assist you with your interference issues.
APEMC is the largest event of its type in the Asia/Pacific region and attracts experts from all over the world.
I have been attending the APEMC Symposium for several years and am constantly learning from my peers, as the field of EMC is so dynamic the only way to keep up and stay in touch is by attending events like APEMC 2020. Over the journey I have made many friends from all over the world and have experienced diverse cultures and seen many interesting and memorable sites.
All this preamble is to highlight why you should attend a Symposium like APEMC 2020. Apart from listening to the latest in research in the field of EMC, it is a chance to network and learn from the who’s who of EMC, as well as network with your peers.
Whether you are interested in testing, equipment compliance, standards, design or the latest research in diverse range of related areas there is something for everyone.
The other main attraction is Sydney itself. It is one of the iconic cities of the world, with direct airline connections to rest of the world. It is an attractive city with a beautiful harbour and known for its Coat Hangar Bridge and majestic opera house. Sydney is a cosmopolitan city which attracts people from all over the world.
I am excited by the enthusiasm shown from those of you who have approached me about the symposium.
The organising committee welcome your ideas, suggestions and feedback to make our story of the 2020 APEMC much stronger and more enjoyable. See you in Sydney in 2020.
